A lack of resources creates the divide. There isn’t enough financing to allow equal access for everyone. This results in disadvantages within some communities.

Many employers expect people to know certain technologies. Also, they’re more inclined to hire those that already have that experience.

More affluent communities have funds to spend on technology. On creating computer labs, teaching people how to use technology, and providing IT support as necessary.

In contrast, less prosperous communities simply can’t provide the same services.
