At Potter’s Gate Charities, we have many programs that benefit underprivileged children and disadvantaged families. We provide services that teach people the necessary life skills for self-sufficiency and success. Thereby, we hope to one day break the cycle of poverty for good.
Family Coalition
Family Coalition programs are designed to strengthen family unit by providing educational, counseling and mentoring services for women, men and children alike. Our programs include:
- Tamar — Empowering traumatized women looking for effective, long-lasting solutions to their problems; connecting them with programs proven successful in women's recovery. Read More
- Women’s Support Programs — Pro-active support services for disadvantaged women and mothers; strengthening families, reducing poverty and enriching society. Read More
- Youth Scope — A mentoring program for disadvantaged and at-risk youth ages 7-21; deals with the social, emotional and cultural needs of underprivileged children.
- Githurai Literacy Project — More than 16 million kids live in extreme poverty. They arrive on the first day of school without the School supplies they need to learn and succeed. Read More
- Youth Resettlement Program — After-school, casework, school preparation, and family enrichment services to help give newly arrived residents a fresh start. Read More
- Youth Development Initiative — A scholarship program that identifies underprivileged youth with leadership potential and helps them get a college education. Read more
- Manchild — First-rate services for men trying to rebuild their lives and re-establish family unity through professional development training. Read More
- Fatherhood Coalition — Reconnecting fathers with their children is one of the greatest challenges facing disadvantaged families, often leading to childhood behavioral issues. Read More

- Technology — Even as technology becomes more affordable and internet access more commonplace, a “digital divide” between the rich and poor remains. You can help us change that. Read more
